Perimeter Protection

Electrified perimeter security systems

Electrified perimeter security systems are available to offer total security and protection. Intruders who may come into contact with this system will receive a short, sharp, painful yet safe electric shock. Any efforts to tamper with the system will be detected by the surveillance system.

The Electronic fence is split into individual zones of protection for switching cameras, security lighting or other local or remote alarm monitoring systems.

Guard wire
A piezoelectric sensor cable is applied to the structure being protected normally the perimeter fence of the site. Audible signals and vibrations generated during an attack are transmitted to a seismic analyser for detection. The analyser detection channels are programmed to detect, penetration, cutting, climbing or attempts to sabotage the system.

An integrated CCTV solution

This system is used as part of an integrated CCTV solution and can automatically switch cameras to presets to alert the Security guard’s or the monitoring station to the potential threat of an intruder.

This type of system can be used on virtually all types of fencing including chain link, welded mesh Palisade, and Paladin.

Electronic External PIR Detectors
Amsec supply and install outdoor PIR sensors that are BS8418 compliant and are designed to operate as motion sensors for remote monitored CCTV applications. They can be used to activate video transmission systems, position pan and tilt or dome cameras, or with a manned CCTV system simply alert an operator’s attention to movement in the coverage area.

WIRE-FREE
At Amsec we understand that some sites are just too remote or it is just not possible to install a hard wired system. For these reasons we have a range of Wire-Free sensors for applications where a reliable, low current sensor is required.

Active Infrared
Active Infrared sensors operate by sending pulsed beams of infrared light between a transmitter and a receiver. An object breaking the beams will be monitored and an alarm created if the duration of the break falls within preset levels.

Active Infrared sensors may utilise single, dual or sixteen beam ‘net’ configurations. With dual beam active infrared sensors both beam paths need to be blocked simultaneously to create alarm activations. Dual beams emit more infrared energy making them more resistant to false activations caused by adverse weather conditions.

PHOTOBEAMS
Photobeam sensors are one of the best established security solutions in the market place. They provide an invisible ‘fence’, which when broken by an intruder creates an alarm condition. This makes them particularly suitable for perimeter protection.

Optex offers a comprehensive range of Active Infrared sensors, from short range twin beams operating at distances between 10m and 60m to long range twin beams operating at distances up to 200m.
